The USS Truman Sailing off the Coast of Spain

Thanks to the route of a USN Grumman C-2 aircraft (reg. 162161), we can accurately pinpoint the current location of the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). In fact, at this moment, the ship, along with its carrier strike group, is navigating off the coast of the Galicia region in northern Spain.

It was thought that the carrier was about to enter the Mediterranean, but for now, it does not seem to be heading toward Gibraltar (at least not in the coming hours). However, its entry into the Mediterranean is only postponed, as the ship is expected in the eastern Mediterranean (and possibly, though it’s unclear, to continue towards the Persian Gulf).

The current geopolitical situation is highly fluid, and the route of Truman’s CSG could be influenced by developments in the Middle East crisis.
