The Italian Navy aircraft carrier Cavour (C 550) continues its journey to the Far East. After passing through the Suez Canal, the ship is proceeding south in the Red Sea.

According to some satellite images taken by Chinese satellites, the vessel appears to be accompanied by the frigate ITS Alpino (F 594), though it is possible there are other units along as well.

Other satellite images suggest that the Cavour has conducted some maneuvers with the American aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower, which is in the area to counter the Houthi threat.

At present, no official statements have been released regarding the carrier’s voyage.
