Continued surveillance missions in the Eastern Mediterranean by U.S. assets.

While a U.S. Air Force Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (registration 10-2045 – callsign FORTE10) returns to NAS Sigonella after a long surveillance mission off the coasts of Lebanon and Israel, a second Global Hawk (registration 09-2039 – callsign FORTE11), also launched from the Sicilian base, is conducting a similar mission, ensuring a continuous U.S. presence in the area.

Not only the U.S. Air Force, but also a U.S. Navy Lockheed EP-3E (registration 156529) is performing a SIGINT mission in the Eastern Mediterranean. It departed this morning from Souda Bay Air Base.
