Weird Aegean Sea missions for Turkish ATRs

Last night we tracked an unusual mission of a Turkish Navy ATR P-72 MPA (reg. TCB-751, callsign GUMUS68) in the southern Aegean Sea.

This morning another Turkish Navy ATR P-72 (reg. TCB-754, callsign MARTI54) took off from Dalaman and orbited for a long time southeast of the island of Rhodes (in an area slightly further north than the one monitored by last night’s aircraft).

Then the ATR continued northwards and landed at about 11:20 CEST in Canakkale.

After a short stop (les than an hour) in Canakkale the ATR has departed again to carry out a new mission, this time in the northern Aeagen Sea

We do not know the nature of these missions
