“Marshal Ustinov” has reappeared

After a few days during which we had no data on the real position today the Russian Navy cruiser Marshal Ustinov (055) has reappeared on the main tracking sites.

The ship is located south of Crete and is maneuvering in the central Mediterranean more or less in the same area.

At first it was thought that the ship was heading directly to the port of Tartus but now it is clear that it is participating in naval exercises between Crete and eastern Libya.

As pointed out by our friend Sergio Scandura, in these days the ship has changed the MMSI code (Maritime Mobile Service Identity) that is transmitted, before it was 273776875 now it is 273798095. Usually the MMSI code is unique for each vessel.
