War of figures (and drones)

The conflict in Libya is characterized by numerous declarations from both sides but often these are not true or are exaggerated.

Yesterday the LNA spokesman declared the shooting down of 6 drones in few hours.

But things would not be exactly like that.

Indeed, last night two Bayraktar TB2 drone seems to have been shot down in Qasr bin Ghashir & Wadi al-Rabea by Haftar forces which, added to the other two shootings the day before, bring the number of drones shot down in Tripoli to 4 in just over 24 hours.

There are, now, no indications on the remaining two drones declared by the LNA twitter account.
Unless we are referring to drones like this.

This does not mean that the shooting down of 3 drones in the last few days marks a significant escalation.

Turkish drones would have been built using Russian-made Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile system.

In any case, we remind you that the use of the conditional in giving this type of news is always justified by the difficulty of having objective feedback.
