Eyes on Serbia (again)

This afternoon, we tracked a new mission of a US Army Bombardier ARTEMIS (reg. N488CRc/s BRIO68) over Romania and western Bulgaria.

The mission appears to follow the pattern of those tracked a few weeks ago, which were focused on Serbia.

The American aircraft, in fact, orbited east of the Serbian border for over 8 hours, carrying out a typical SIGINT mission.

The ARTEMIS (Airborne Reconnaissance and Targeting Multi-Mission Intelligence System) is a Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet modified for advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Developed for the U.S. Army, it is equipped with SIGINT (signals intelligence) and ELINT (electronic intelligence) sensors, allowing it to intercept and analyze enemy communications and radar emissions.

With its long endurance and high-altitude capabilities, the ARTEMIS plays a crucial role in monitoring military activities, particularly in strategic regions such as Eastern Europe.
