Triton’s eyes on Libya

New surveillance mission off the coast of Libya for a Northrop Grumman MQ-4C (reg. 169660 – c/s BLACKCAT5) of the US Navy. The American drone, which took off from NAS Sigonella, operated throughout the night off the Libyan coast, from Tripoli to Tobruk.

The flight path is not complete, but thanks to isolated plots, we are able to reconstruct it fairly accurately.

As has happened several times in recent weeks, the US Triton has patrolled the entire Libyan coastline, including the Gulf of Sirte, while remaining entirely within international airspace.
