EUFOR mission over Bosnia

Yesterday we’ve tracked a rare mission carried out by an Italian Air Force P-72A (reg. MM62281, callsign EUFOR88).

The aircraft, which took off from Sigonella, orbited Bosnia, in Tuzla and Banyja KLuka areas . As you can guess from its callsign, the mission was carried out in support of the Althea mission, formally the European Union Force Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUFOR).

It should be noted that it is quite rare to fully track this type of mission (in past years, we have only managed to do so once). However, yesterday this was made possible thanks to the satellite tracking provided by Radarbox24.

The P-72A is not only a maritime patrol aircraft but can also acquire information on targets, the geographical situation, the weather situation and the position of contacts.
