This afternoon we’re tracking various Royal Air Force (RAF) planes across a vast area of Europe and the Mediterranean:
- RRR9112:
- Aircraft Type: Airbus KC2
- Registration Number: ZZ338
- Route: This aircraft left RAF Brize Norton with destination Malta.
- RRR09531:
- Aircraft Type: Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4
- Registration Number: ZK368
- Position: This plane is visible near the coast of Tunisia, flying over the Mediterranean, Iit’s probably not alone but is the only one with the ADS-B transponder on.
- RRR9110:
- Aircraft Type: Airbus KC2
- Registration Number: ZZ333
- Position: Located further south, near Sicily, this aircraft have a parallel course with the Typhoons.
Airbus KC2 planes are typically used for refueling, which might suggest a logistical support mission for Typhoon.
