For a few days, there had been no news of the Russian cruiser Varyag (Slava-class). We had received images of her south of Cyprus, but then nothing more.

It seems that now the 🇷🇺Grigorovitch could be adrift, but I don't have any photos. Do you have any pictures?
Could she have been damaged? Does anyone have any information? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/NUx5czxp7u
Some even speculated that the Varyag might have left the Mediterranean and headed for the South Atlantic, especially since the Russian Navy tanker Yaz exited the Mediterranean last night.
However, none of this is true. The cruiser Varyag, along with the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, is currently on an official visit to Egypt, specifically in Alexandria, where they will remain until tomorrow.
Evidently, the vessel will remain in the Mediterranean for some time before beginning its announced cruise to South America.
