Attention continues to be high on what is happening in the Eastern Mediterranean and the countries bordering it.

This morning, surveillance missions conducted by assets of the US Navy are underway in the area.

A US Navy Lockheed EP-3E, taking off from Souda Bay AB, is conducting a SIGINT mission off the Syrian coast, where the Russian naval base of Tartus is located. At the same time, a US Navy Northrop Grumman MQ-4C (reg. 169659), launched from Sigonella, is orbiting off the coast of Israel and Gaza.

It is worth noting that this is the second mission of an USNavy Triton drone in the Mediterranean. In particular, this drone arrived just yesterday from the USA and is already in operational activity today.
