Another usual day in the Black Sea area

Today we register a new day of NATO’s surveillance activity in the Black Sea area.

Two US assets carried out SIGINT missions the area this afternoon. The first is a USN Boeing P-8A, which conducted a standard mission orbiting over the delta of the Danube.

The second is a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (registration 09-2039 – callsign FORTE11), which is currently (19:00 CET) orbiting over the eastern Black Sea.

Both aircraft took off from NAS Sigonella.

Mainwhile another NATO asset was active in the area this afternoon, a RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ665) has orbited over the western Black Sea off Romania and Bulgaria coasts (without an escort)
