New successful attack by Ukrainian maritime drones. This time, the victim appears to be the corvette “Sergey Kotov”, which entered service just in July 2022.

According to various Russian channels (and also according to Ukrainian intelligence), the “Sergei Kotov” sustained heavy damage to the stern, starboard, and port side, as seen in the video released by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

The attack reportedly took place near the Kerch Strait, highlighting how even the northeastern part of the Black Sea is no longer safe for Russian naval units. At the moment, the status of the attacked ship is unknown, but from what can be seen, if it hasn’t been sunk, it has certainly been severely damaged. The last successful attack conducted by Ukraine dates back to February 14th when the landing ship Caesar Kunikov was sunk.
