Several US flights are heading to Libya today. There are at least three flights, involving the Department of State and the US Special Operations Command.

Two De Havilland Canada Dash 8-300s from the US Department of State have flown from Malta to Tripoli and from Malta to Benghazi.

A US Special Operation Command Dornier C-146A (reg. 97-3091) landed from Stuttgart to Misrata, then flew to Benghazi, and later departed the North African country in the afternoon.

It is noteworthy that this morning, a USN Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 156529) , taking off from Souda Bay Air Base, conducted a SIGINT mission off the coast of Tripoli.
