A complex NATO operation is currently underway in the Black Sea theater, involving various assets.

A pair of RAF Eurofighter FGR.4 (reg. ZK354- ZK374 c/s SPARTA11/12) is escorting an RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ666) conducting a SIGINT mission over the Black Sea. The two fighters are supported by an RAF Airbus KC.2 (reg. ZZ338) orbiting off the Romanian coast, awaiting their return for aerial refueling.

Area coverage is provided by a French Air Force Boeing E-3CF (reg. 204), while a USN Boeing P-8A orbits over the Danube Delta, carrying out another surveillance mission.

Meanwhile, another USNavy Poseidon is en route from Sigonella to provide relief and ensure uninterrupted surveillance of the area.
