A busy day for the Poseidons of NAS Sigonella. A first US Navy Boeing P-8A, which took off from NAS Sigonella this morning, carried out a surveillance mission over eastern Romania and the Black Sea off the Romanian coast.

When the aircraft was nearing the end of its mission, another P-8A took off from Sigonella and arrived on the Romanian coast while the first was returning to the Sicilian base.

NATO’s continuous control over the Black Sea is also on Sundays.
