Ford’s CSG in the Ionian Sea

In the past few days, we saw how the Carrier Strike Group of the USS Gerald Ford was located off the eastern coast of Libya.

However, since then, the CSG has moved northwest to the southern Ionian Sea, off the eastern coast of Sicily. The position of the ships is confirmed by the presence of a USN Sikorsky MH-60R and a USN Grumman C-2A in the area.

The latter took off from NAS Sigonella and is currently landing (at 14.30 CEST) on the USS Ford, bringing supplies.
