Monitoring Black Sea

The SIGINT activity of the NATO assets in the Black Sea theater continues.

This morning a Lockhed EP-3E Aries II (reg. 159887) that took off from Souda Bay AB is orbiting the eastern coast of Romania.

the mission is not unusual because almost daily now we record a similar activity in the area. today, however, it appears important as from that position the Aries can keep under control a large part of the western Black Sea where units of the Russian fleet operate and can launch attacks against the port city of Odessa following the withdrawal of Russia from the so-called wheat deal.
