Two different missions of USNavy aircraft are currently underway in two different areas:

  • a Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 15-6529) took off from Souda Bay Ab and is orbiting eastern romania, on the Black Sea coast
  • a Boeing P-8A instead took off from NAS Sigonella and is heading for the eastern Mediterranean, where it will carry out surveillance activities, probably also linked to Russian activity in the area (the Admiral Gorshkhov frigate is at sea these days).
