The Russian Navy frigate Admiral Gorshkov arrived in the Mediterranean at the beginning of June. It was supposed to be the ship that restored the Russian military presence in the Mediterranean, as it is armed with hypersonic missiles.
However, since then, it has only conducted a short cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean and has not been seen operating consistently, remaining mostly in the port of Tartus, Syria.
Since June 26, it is no longer reported in the Syrian port and is therefore navigating in the Eastern Mediterranean. We don’t know where exactly, but we can assume that it is not a very long-term mission, as all other units of the Russian Navy, including the tankers, are still in Tartus.
