A weird situation

The Russian tanker Primorye (IMO: 9236743) departed from Novorossiysk on June 3rd and, after passing through the Dardanelles on June 8th, arrived in Benghazi on the 12th.

After departing from the Libyan port on June 14th, in the last few hours, it has been sailing in circles in roughly the same area northeast of Benghazi, proceeding at a very low speed (as of 19:00 CEST, it was reported to be stationary).

The ship is supposed to be officially heading back to Russia, but over a week after its departure, it is still stationary in the central Mediterranean.

Certainly, this is unusual, and Sergio Scandura, a journalist from Radio Radicale who is expert about events in the Libyan region and the Mediterranean, has brought this strange situation to our attention.
