Two separate surveillance missions are currently underway over eastern Romania.

The first, carried out by an RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ665), is taking place on the border between Romania and Moldova, while the second, operated by a USNavy Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 159887) is taking place over the Danube delta.

These are two ‘standard’ missions, as we have seen several of them in recent months, but they are the first trackable missions conducted by NATO assets in the area since the start of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
