New mission (the third in three days) for a NATO set-up outside Libya.

This time it is the turn of an RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ665) which took off from Souda Bay AB: the aircraft took off from Crete at around 07:30 CEST and then conducted a first part of the mission off eastern Libya.

The Rivet Joint then moved west to where it is currently operating (12:00 CEST) but remained just outside the Libyan FIR (flight information region).

The same aircraft had conducted a similar mission, but closer to the Libyan coast, on Tuesday.
