Libyan trips

Double arrival from Europe yesterday in Libya.

An Italian Air Force Lockheed C-130J (reg. MM62181) performed a flight from Pisa San Giusto AB to Tripoli. Even if they are not always visible in their entirety, this type of flights between Italy and Libya are not rare and occur at least once a week (especially towards Misrata).

More unusual (but previously observed) was a flight conducted by a USAF Boeing C-17A (reg, 07-7184) from Ramstein to Benghazi and back. We do not know what the nature of these flights are but we note that they never enter Italian airspace when they take place.
