Russian movements in the Mediterranean

The Russian Navy tanker Akademik Pashin and the frigate Admiral Kasatonov (Gorshkov Class) have left the port of Tartus in recent days and are now sailing in the central Mediterranean.

The last satellite image was yesterday and the two units were sailing south of Crete to the west.

The NATO exercise “Dynamic Manta” is underway in the Ionian Sea.

We will see in the coming hours whether the ships are heading back to the Ionian Sea (as in the past month), whether they are aiming for the western Mediterranean or whether they will return to Tartus
