Italian Customs P-72B in flight to Turkey

Share
Share

In these minutes, two Italian Customs ATR P-72Bs are flying to Turkey carrying rescue teams from Cuneo (with a stopover in Brindisi).

A similar mission was already carried out two days ago.

The aircraft in flight are MM62321 and MM62331, which are therefore in the maritime patrol version (they can, however, also carry passengers).

It’s strange that these aircraft are being used and not one of those yet to be fitted out for maritime patrolling.

It’s also strange that two aircraft are being used and not a single larger aircraft by the Air Force (representative purposes?).
