During the night of 24 February, 2 Turkish Air Force Airbus A400M “Atlas” (reg. 17-0080, 18-0093) landed at Kyiv airport.

That same night Ukrainian airspace was closed following the Russian attack and the two aircraft were grounded.
Both aircraft were parked in the military zone in the north-east.

The two aircraft remained parked in the same place until this afternoon.
Around 15:00 CET the two ‘Atlas’ left Kiev airport (with the ADS-B transponder switched off) heading west.
At 15:42 the two A400s, which by then were in the vicinity of the Romanian border, switched on the transponder and are now, after 299 days, returning home.
