Eyes on the Black Sea

A new afternoon of surveillance missions in the Black Sea area. Today was a busy day in the area, with a mission carried out by several French Air Force Mirage 2000Ds that took off directly from France.

They are active in the area:

  • USAF Boeing E-8C Joint STARS (reg. 94-0285 – callsign REDEYE6) which orbited the Danube Delta for a long time
  • USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 10-2045 – callsign FORTE10), which took off from NAS Sigonella, orbiting south of the Crimea on the Black Sea
