A new day begins in the Black Sea theatre and, as has been the case since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a number of surveillance missions in the area operated by NATO assets are underway:

  • a French Air Force Boeing E-3CF (reg. 202), which took off from Avord AB, central France, is arriving in the area where it will conduct an aerial surveillance mission over eastern Romania.
  • a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 11-2046 – callsign FORTE11), which took off from NAS Sigonella, is instead conducting a surveillance mission over the Black Sea south of Crimea
