The French Navy aircraft carrier ‘Charles de Gaulle’ (R91) is currently sailing in the Ionian Sea.

Yesterday saw the first mission of its rafale over Romania as part of NATO’s protection of the Alliance’s eastern flank.

Today, a Grumman E-2C (Reg. 2) also took off from the Charles de Gaulle in the direction of Romania where it will provide aerial surveillance to NATO assets engaged in the area
