In the past few days we have seen a number of surveillance missions carried out at the same time over the eastern Mediterranean and northern Iraq.

Today we are tracking similar missions.

Two USAF RC-135s are performing this morning two separate (but related) surveillance missions:

  • USAF Boeing RC-135U (reg. 64-14849 – HOMER11) flying over the eastern Mediterranean off Syria, departed from Souda Bay AB
  • USAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. 62-4121) flying over northern Iraq near the Syrian border
