Surveillance mission over eastern Poland for an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62303 – callsign PERSEO71) which took off from Pratica di Mare AB.

The Italian aircraft relieved a NATO Boeing E-3A (reg. LX-N90446), departing from Konya AB, Turkey, which this morning orbited near the area where a missile crashed yesterday in Przewodów, Poland, killing two people.

Apart from yesterday’s incident, however, these missions are quite common since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
