Raptors over Mediterranean sea

New surveillance missions morning over the eastern Mediterranean:

  • USAF Boeing KC-135R (reg. 62-3502 – callsign RAKE70) departed from Souda bay AB carried out an aerial refuelling mission over the sea off Syria
  • a little further south a USAF Bombardier E-11A (reg. 11-9001) is orbiting over the eastern Mediterranean off Lebanon

It is possible that together with the Stratotanker there are at least two USAF Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22s “Raptor” that are stationed in Souda Bay AB these days participating in ACE exercise.
