Intense start of the week on the Black Sea

Busy begin of the week in the European skies. Several NATO aircraft are in the air to carry out various missions in the Black Sea area:

  • an USAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. 62-4138callsign HOMER11) departd from Souda Bay AB is carrying out a surveillance mission over eastern Romania ;
  • an USAF Northrop Grumman (reg. 11-2045 – callsign FORTE10 ) departed from NAS Sigonella is orbiting over the Black Sea south of Crimea;
  • an USNavy Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 159893) is carrying out a surveillance mission over Danube’s delta;
  • an US Army Bobardier 650 ARTEMIS is carrying out a mission near the Romanian border with Ukraine and Moldova;
  • a USNavy Boeing P-8A is back to NAS Sigonella after a surveillance mission over eastern Romania
