Eventful skies also over the Ionian Sea today.

Two USN Boeing P-8As took turns over the sea between Calabria and Greece carrying out maritime patrol missions.

We do not have the full track of the first leg of the mission but now we can see the couple of P-8A (reg. 169547 + reg. unknown) orbiting at an altitude of bwtween 14 and 15k feet west of the island of Kefalonia.

Two Russian Navy surface vessels (destroyer Admiral Tributs and frigate Admiral Kasatonov) were reported to be in this area the last week and may still be there today.
