Monitoring Kherson

Share
Share

The Ukrainian offensive in the Kherson area continues.

At least two NATO assets are currently monitoring the situation in the area:

  • USAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. 62-4138 – callsign JAKE12) took off from RAF Midenhall
  • RAF Boeing RC-135W (reg. ZZ665 – f/n RRR7272) took off from RAF Waddington.

Note how the Rivet Joint USAF took off from the UK and not Souda, the base from which RC-135s operating in the Black Sea sector usually departed
