Today, it is the USNavy that takes the lion’s share of surveillance missions on the Black Sea.

Since this morning, a USN Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 160764) that took off from Souda Bay has been carrying out a surveillance mission over the Romanian coast and the border with Moldova.

Similar missions for Sigonella’s Poseidons. While a Boeing P-8A is returning to the Sicilian base, a second Poseidon has left the base at the foot of Mount Etna for the Black Sea.
