Around noon yesterday, a USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 11-2046, callsign FORTE10) has departed from NAS Sigonella to carry out a surveillance mission in the Black Sea theatre.

A first part of the mission took place near the border between Romania and Ukraine while a second part took place on the Black Sea.
It is interesting to note that, compared to previous missions, the drone came closer to the Crimean coast.

During this mission, the Global Hawk was able to monitor western Ukraine, Transinistria and the entire Black Sea.
