This morning a Turkish Navy aircraft, an ATR P-72 MPA (callsign GUMUS83, reg. TCB-753) left NAS Izmit. The aircraft entered into Athens FIR (flight information region) off Dardanelles.

The plane continued its flight over Aegean Sea southbound. For nearly three hours the aircraft flew from north to south over the Aegean Sea (FL070) however, as visible in the image above, avoiding entering the Greek air space.

The final destination was the airport of Dalaman where the aircraft is landed around 12:00 CEST.

These missions are usually made without the authorisation of Greek ATC.
