An Italian Air Force ATR P-72A MPA (reg. MM62280 , f/n IAM4102) has left this morning Sigonella AB southbound.

The aircraft has switched-off its ADS-B transponder when it was flying south of Malta. Now, as the aircraft is returning to Sigonella, the transponder has been switched back on.

In the past this type of patrol missions were carried out off Libya. These are maritime patrols (also to monitor the areas where Italian fishing boats are located off the Libyan coast).
