New missions for Italian Air Force

Two Italian assets are now operating in Romania as part of NATO missions.

An Italian Air Force Boeing KC-767A (reg. MM62227 – callsign BREUS1) is carrying out an AAR (Ait to Air refueling) mission in support of NATO fighters engaged in the CAP (Combat Air Patrol).

At the same time, an Italian Air Force Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62303, callsign PERSEO71) is operating a surveillance mission over northern Romania near the Ukrainian border.
Thanks to its sensors, it can monitor a large part of the western Ukraine

Both aircraft have departed from Pratica di Mare AB
