The USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B (reg. 09-2039 – callsign FORTE12) mission departed yesterday from NAS Sigonella covered different areas than usual.

Unlike in the past (when missions took place either over the Black Sea or Eastern Europe), USAF drone missions now take place in two distinct areas, the Black Sea and eastern Romania.

Today, after monitoring the situation on the Black Sea (and peninsula of Crimea), the drone has moved to eastern Romania, where it was able to monitor the situation in the Moldovan region of Transinistria and western Ukraine.
