Unusual traffic around Crete

Busy morning around Crete.
We are tracking a number of active assets in the vicinity of the western part of the island:

  • USN Boeing P-8A
  • USN Lockheed EP-3E (reg. 160764)
  • RAF Boeing P-8A (reg. ZP801)
  • Hellenic Air Force Embraer EMB-145 AEW&C (reg. 729)

In these days the Dynamic Manta exercise is taking place but at first sight these movements do not seem to be connected to it.
In the central Mediterranean Sea some Russian naval units are active but we don’t know where they are with precision.
