Unusual situation this afternoon. We’re tracking two USAF Northrop Grumman RQ-4B at same time.
The first one (reg. 10-2045) is carrying out a surveillance mission over the eastern Ukraine, the second one (reg. 09-2039) is departed this afternoon around 15:0 CET from NAS Sigonella.
Nothing strange so far. What is really strange, however, is that both drones have the same callsign, FORTE11. It has never happened before to track two Global Hawks with the same callsign.
We’ll see if this is an error (and therefore will be changed) or not.
