French A330MRTT in flight over Tripoli

Since Algeria banned the overflight of French military aircraft, the France-Central Africa routes have lengthened considerably.

On 4th december for the first time, a French military plane flew over Libya to go to Central Africa.

This afternoon a French Air Force Airbus A330MRTT (reg. F-UJCL – f/n CTM1044) departed Niamey, Niger, is taking the “Libyan route” for its flight to Istres AB.
