Poseidon mission off Syria

A USN Boeing P-8A “Poseidon” has departed around 11:30 CET from NAS Sigonella to perform a new surveillance mission.

This time the mission was made over the eastern Mediterranean Sea between Cyprus and Syria. The Russian Navy have a facility in the Syrian city of Tartus where are deployed several units, including a pair of Kilo-class submarines.
