Interesting missions over eastern Mediterranean Sea

These days we are tracking several unusual flights over the eastern Mediterranean.

Last night a USNavy Boeing P-8A took off from Sigonella carried out an ISR mission in front of the Syrian coast. It is not the first time we have tracked a mission of the genre carried out at night but it is a rather rare thing.

Today, however, a NATO Northrop Grumman RQ-4D (reg. AV-SA0018) took off in the morning again from Sigonella to carry out a mission on the eastern Mediterranean (and beyond?).

Unlike US flights, in this case the drone disconnected the ADS-B transponder while it was flying in south cyprus and the one you see in the screenshot is the last position detected.
