Algeria bans French military planes from entering its airspace

Algeria has banned French military planes from its airspace amid tensions over visas and contentious comments attributed to the French president, the French army told AFP on Sunday.

This morning at 09:17 CEST a French Air Force Airbus A330 MRTT (F-UJCK) left Istres AB southbound directed to Mali.

Waiting for clearence to enter into Algerian airspace the aicraft orbited for 2 hours 30 between Sardinia and the island of Menorca. the clearence wasn’t approved so the aicraft returned to Istes where is landed at 14:00.
