This morning a new patrol mission on the central Aegean was carried out by a Turkish navy aircraft.
At 08:36 CEST a Turkish Navy ATR P-72A MPA (reg. TCB-752 – callsign MARTI84) left NAS Topel (Izmit) and headed for the Aegean Sea, entering FIR Athens at 09:43 east of the Greek island of Limnos.

The aircraft then pushed south approaching about 12 miles from Euboea island around 10:30. It’s the first time we have tracked a Turkish aircraft so close to Greek airspace in this part of the Aegean.

At that point the ATR headed south over the southern Aegean Sea, taking care never to enter the Greek airspace.
